N.Y.D.C

Cassandra and i came down to Wheelock Place for dinner after school. It was a hungry, rainy evening and we both agreed we needed a solid meal to satisfy- american food sure fitted the bill.

So we tucked into our corner table and began a 3-course ordering all the way till desserts...

5th Avenue ($6.50)

The girl needed a thirst-quencher. Standard coke float, with the bonus of their rich icecream and plenty of foam on the top.

B.B.King Chicken Sandwich ($11.95)

They call this the Best Ever Sandwich in Singapore. Erm for a die-hard sandwich fan like, i suppose not. Well the thick foccacia bread sure came delectable since toasted in a seemingly decent bread-grill kind of machine; with fillings of cheese and roasted chicken chunks in a salsa sauce. passed the spicy kick test, but failed the oozing one. more cheddar please!

Three Amigos Baked Pasta ($10.95)

Penne with beefballs, bacons and something else i cant recall in tomato sauce and mozzarella.

Mudpies Attack! how can we skip desserts at a New York DESSERT Cafe? I swear i was awfully looking forward to the first mouth of my first official self-owned mudpie here.

Big Apple ($9.95)

TA-DAH. and i have four words for it-
my kind of mudpie.

I've always loooved their apple crumble to bits and this was furthermore elaborated with icy delight. A great combination of vanilla & wild berries icecream bearing chunks of their ultimate apple crumble within. You can say its perfect for my tastebuds but with a little flaw somewhere... i wonder why no i saw no sign of apples.

Times Square Brownie ($9.95)

Needless to say, this is more for the chocolate lovers. The frozen hard brownie base scored little points since i personally preferred my brownies warm, soft and fudgy But sinful stuffs still cant go too bad afterall.

They were kind of short-staffed for an evening shift, but the servers still tried to see to all our requests. Yes, we were both full and contented after that -so much that the girl stomached only half her dessert.
