I admit...
interior of The Cookie Museum
i have been secretly feasting my eyes on this place every time i walk by, imagining myself enjoying some fine tea and cakes there. The whole glam victorian theme here is just too enchanting to be missed.. it seems like every girl's dreamland. girly girls, i mean.
and i finally did.
Certainly charmed, but there is a price to pay for such pleasures.
Menu: Museum Diary
For once i seemed to be treated like some royalty with their amicable servers doing the most meticulous actions upon our arrival. The table was first disinfected, orders taken, then a pushcart pushed over get the table set. The server actually used tongs to lay the serviettes, neatly arranged our teacups, then dished out green tea cookies to accompany our teas.
oh man, elaine feels like a royal princess here.
No surprise, i took a long time to browse through their menu and carefully read each elaborated name and its description. Fortunately, they offered something so distinct to my liking for me to place my orders inhesitantly. and boy, the cake was lovely!
Berry Meadows ($15)
Beautiful presentation. To my delight, this marriage of blueberries and yogurt suited perfectly with my tastebuds. Way milder and less dense than the usual butter cake, it certainly didn't cloy one bit. I loved the feature of having fresh blueberries and a touch of jam baked in then drizzled with sweet blueberry yogurt puree. heavenly!
A Bed of Roses ($12)
To calm things down, i picked a mild Rosebuds tea mixed with yellow marigold petals. Soothing, but extremely expensive.
Well i wouldn't actually picture tai-tais sitting in here, i picture princesses. IM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE and this is one of the most enjoyable birthday treat ever! Dying to come back without a doubt, but probably only possible after i strike my first ever lottery.. for now, it will remain as a pleasing eye-candy.
