Hog's Breath Cafe

I finally had a chance to venture into the rich man's estate for food- Holland Village! Of course i wouldn't be stepping into places like Michelangelo's or Amici. For students on a budget, Hog's Breath is a suitable place to visit- especially for American food lovers like me.

Their Set Lunches ranging from $9 to $19 were relatively easy-on-the-pockets considering the food you get. Good food in portions just right.

Mushroom Soup

A cup of soup is first served after our orders were placed. Topped with spring onions and croutons, this soup merely lied on the average scoreline.

Prime Ribs are undoubtedly their famed signature, but a pity i can never have a chance to try it.

Chicken Dijonnaise ($12)

Its a pity i can never have a chance to try their famed Prime Ribs, so i headed for the second specialty here. two slabs of chicken breast sticks topped with avocado and served with a delectable dijonnaise mustard sauce. Visibly paltry portion but the curly fries and salad made up for it. they are called hog' tail fries by the way, how cute.

18-hour slow cooked Prime Rib ($19)

Mississippi Mud Cake with Vanilla Icecream

Dessert was full to its value with a scoop of vanilla icecream. This slice of their signature mudcake went fine, since im not very particular about chocolate desserts.

I wonder why they call themselves a saloon, but it felt humble and laidback with those wood-dominated furnitures.
