The Animal Family came down to feed our rumbling stomachs one late afternoon. Sarah has been wanting to try it after viewing its feature on Coffee Talk Hawker Woks.
Fish & Chips ($5)
Truth revealed; there is nothing really fantastic about this signature item of theirs. The batter was thick and sogs out after a while. Maybe i'm not really a Fish & Chips kind of person, but i would only give it an average score.
Garlic Mushroom Spaghetti ($4.50)
Quite a generous portion given. Initially i found the strong garlic sauce rather special but it started to get overboard after subsequent mouthfuls.
Still a good place for a casual western meal in the vicinity. But if you are craving for a quality plate of that battered fish, there are better places to head off to.
