Hokkaido Delights @ Sun with Moon

Dinner with Dad the day before he left for Shanghai. We were sheer lucky to get a table here without any reservations made.

Where top-notch ambience is matched with high-quality japanese food. We usually
go for their Kamameshis but this time there was an special menu featuring hokkaido food! Hard to resist not picking from it.

Ikura Kodon ($19.80)

Salmon roe on rice bowl- so typical of something Dad would love.

Was pretty much fed up with the atrocious long wait for my order- dad was already finishing yet i still saw no sight of it. Decided to enquire with the waitress and realised that it was sent to the wrong table.. and apparently sipped up by them. Hence a longer wait for a new one to be cooked while that innocent table got an extra $16 charged to their bill. hah.

Ishikarinabe ($15.80)

Salmon miso hotpot with assorted vegetables. An undistinct miso soup with three fatty salmon slabs, carrots, a shiitake mushroom and chunks of potatoes. Didn't think very much of it.

I knew we just had to this a particular dessert...

Ichigo Cheesecake ($5.80)

Available for the seasonal period only! Very much firmer than the tofu cheesecake, with an extra fruity strawberry flavour. Standard digestives base.

This place has got standards akin to some fine-dining establishments, and the obvious winner factor is no doubt the efforts put into the food's aesthetic presentation.

Every dish is served like an artpiece.
