Toast

Finding this place can be quite a challenge.

Nestled in a corner away from the vibe of Ngee Ann City was a quaint stylish cafe under The Marmalade Group. The place strikes with an stylish appeal of using baby pink tiles and warm lighting, perfect for a cosy cuppa or afternoon tea.

Despite the obscure location, it still manages to attract a steady stream of executives and shoppers. Fullhouse even on a late wednesday afternoon! I wonder why.

Smoked Salmon Sandwich ($6.50)

Simply adored both the excellent bread and salmon. I could easily claim this as the best multigrain rendition ever tasted... soft with a shiny fresh sheen, emaciating a mild sweetish goodness as you chew. Slices of salmon were of appropriate thickness, oh-so-tender and substantially packed with the smoky flavour. Wonderfully scrumptious!

If only the cucumbers tasted less raw, this would be flawless.

Realising they also offered a good selection of in-house sweet treats, i'm determined to return for their cakes and of course sandwiches. Now i see the rationale behind its popularity.
