Hogging Out

Already mentioned as a value-for-money set lunch, worth a return trip with Sharolyn. Prices start from $12.80 onwards for a range of authentic american mains. Be prepared for quality food in non-skimpy portions- and a few clueless waiters churning out good laughs.

Mushroom Soup

Clam Chowder

Filling up just half a regular mug, the soups first make you curse and swear about their stingy portions.. then win forgiveness with its quality. I loved my load of funghi goodness and was craving for more. They may seem scheming but come to think of it, it could be a thoughtful plot to reserve stomach space.

Chicken Dijonnaise ($12)

Grilled chicken breast fillets topped with avocado and an accompanying dijon mustard sauce. Quite a foolproof dish with good hog tail fries and a salad as sides.

Grilled Steak Sandwich ($12)

A grilled steak slice, cheese, beetroot, tomato, grilled onions and Hickory BBQ sauce gathered between toasted Vienna bread.

Mississippi Mud Cake

Like as if the mains were not enough to tackle, desserts came as another big bang. Sturdy slice of dense mudcake, chocolate fudge sauce, vanilla icecream and whipped cream. Too bad the cakes didn't really work our for me... i certainly liked the icecream more than that dry crumbly cake.
