Greenwood Again!

Dad just can't get enough of this place. He is sure a versatile eater to attempt a different fish everytime he visits. For me its simply salmon & more salmon.

We crashed the place on a Friday night with no reservations made. Fortunately we were offered a two-seater that was vacant until 8.30pm.

Foccacia Bread

The crusty surface is a wonder, but today's batch of bread was exceedingly salty than the last. Seems like they have forgot to sprinkle some herbs in as well. Even so, the soft interiors were adequate for us to request for a second helping.

Creamy Mushroom Soup with Truffle Oil ($8.95)

Baked Black Cod "Chilean Seabass" ($24.95)

Alas, i took the cue this time to venture further into their selections. So here is my fleece-white order without regrets. The silky flesh is so tender and smoothly lined with fats, futhermore dashed with a commendably palatable sauce... i swear cod had never tasted so shiok.

Pan-seared Snapper ($19.95)

Snapper comes next in his list after the Yellow-fin Tuna and Mahi-Mahi. I took a bite but found that the mushy fillet didn't do for me.

Granny Smith Apple Crumble Pie ($8.95)

It took us a 15 minute wait for our dessert but the result came close worthy. Would award full marks for presentation- that vanilla icecream-filled phyllo basket and caramelised swirls were enough evidence of effort. Notice a delightful change here, the pie was filled with slices of green apple goodness instead of the common buttery mush.

Dad says we will be back. And i'm not surprised.
