Haato No.1 Waffles

ahh.. my waffle-hunting finally met with some reward.

I love waffles.

So much that i once attempted a daily waffle trail in search for the best one. i made sure i sampled all the renditions i came across no matter how full i was. But sad to say, most were either mudane, forgettable or lacking in certain components.

I'm pretty fussy about my perfect waffle actually, not so much the condiments but particularly the batter. It needs to be lightly crisp on the surface and soft on the inside. Lightly fluffy yet bearing an appropriate density when chewed. Flavouring is not necessary, but it would do good if a dash is suitably added(think cinnamon at Out of the Pan).

think i found a closest match here.

Tucked in a really ulu location is an icecream parlour highly raved-about by many local newspaper and magazines. For years Haato have stood as a unique establishment offering freshly-made gelato based on traditional recipes from Japan. and it sure did impress me.

No doubts about it.
Divine waffles served with premium icecream.

Waffle with Green Tea Gelato ($6)

Watch as they make every slab of this dessert upon order with the two available machines. Toasted to perfection, the skin offers a distinct crisp and breaks into a soft warm interior as you bite it. Well-fluffy with a rich milky taste.

Double the bliss when you swallow with their remarkable gelato, creamy yet without any overwhelming sugar hints. The matcha flavour is kept subtle and lingers delightfully in the mouth.

Simply Heavenly.

Wild Berry & Sweet Potato with Chestnuts ($8.50)

Outstanding icecream paired with scrumptious waffles,
need i say more?
