Cafe Cartel Set Lunch

Samantha & i were the first customers of the day. We entered an empty Cartel at Marina Square for the $9.50 nett Set Lunch.

Homemade Bread

I have always liked cartel's bread, especially when it comes nicely warm and crusty. Doubled my dosage this time with two extra baskets apart from this one we were served with.

Seafood Aglio Pasta

A spaghetti dish dryly tossed with black pepper and a variety of seafood. I ended up pinching most of the prawns and fish from her.

Baked Chicken in Mushroom Sauce

My main course was far less tantalising. The chicken came flaky with rice hard and stale. Only the veggies were passable, they were sweetly drizzled with teriyaki sauce.

And then it was the terrible timing. Soups are supposed to be starters yet ours arrived after the mains. Weird system.

Cream of Chicken Soup

Vanilla Icecream

Dessert was a scoring factor with its presentation. The scoop of icecream sure looked mini in that waffle bowl but it was enough to end the meal with.
