Hot Tomato Express

Another lunch with my fellow entertainer. Well, this new addition to Plaza Singapura's revamped food section caught our attentions.

A convenient fuss-free concept, with an adorable tomato mascot.

We hit the correct timing for the set deal where we got a soup, garlic toast & drink at an additional of $1.50 only.

Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread

The soup was exactly a replica of those instant powders, plain lousy that you can forget about taking a second sip. Take the bread though, the pairing of ciabatta and garlic is quite worth a try.

Mango Salsa Salmon ($9.90)

The supposed side of aglio olio spaghetti arrived almost blanketing over the entire plate, hiding that comparatively small fillet of salmon- which tuned out unimpressive. Pasta was heavy on oil and left a pool of oil residue at the bottom. Only the mango salsa managed to make an imprint with its sweet light fresh mango and tomato components.

Roasted Half Spring Chicken ($8.90)

Strawberry Cheesecake ($3)

Also shared a relatively small-sized dessert, but forgiven since the price slightly hovered below the average. Just mediocre. The wetter kind and not too creamy.

A rather forgettable place actually, even the service.
