TCC

Let's spell it out- The Coffee Connoiseur.

It was 3 pm when dad & i entered the Funan Mall outlet, supposedly to get his late lunch fix since i already had mine in school. However the greedy me failed to resist the tempting dishes and succumbed to another round of food. Not surprising.

First up were drinks.


Morning Dew ($6.80)

A green tea base mixed with a blend of rosehips and other unfamiliar stuffs. Tasted kind of strange but drinkable.


Azuki Freeze ($7.90)


tcc Kahlua Salmon ($16.80)

A distinguishable smell of cze char wafted in the moment my main course arrived. Then i got it figured after one bite- their house-concocted coffee sauce was no different from the ones used by cze char stalls for coffee spareribs. I so wonder who was the actual creater.

Nevertheless this remains as one of my favourite salmon dish, with the bonus of getting to choose its doneness. Medium well comes fleshy and tender under a skin so nicely panseared to a crisp. Just a pity the skin doesnt enter my mouth.

Beautifully concluded with a touch of rose petals.



Seafood Aglio Olio ($16.80)

It was weird to hear dad commenting on its overwhelming spicyness when i saw no sight of chilli padi. Maybe those crushed red stuff were the culprits. A pleasant aglio leaving no pools of oily residue behind but the single scallop and two prawns simply failed to unjustify its $16.80 pricetag. Dad gives it an 8/10.
