Pasta de Waraku

This place never fails to amuse with surprises.

Today we were recognized by their wonderful waiter Shaan who gave us a warm "nice to see you back again!" greeting. He brought us the menus, introduced some new items and automatically served our usual troublesome requirements of 1 cold, 1 warm & 1 hot water.

To make things easier this time, the manager provided a whole teapot of hot water, initiatively refilling and pouring it into the cup for me. Two thumbs up!

Seafood Salad Pasta ($16.80)

My usual cheery favourite with fresh sashimi strips and a generous throw-in of salmon roe to excite. Squid was good, tuna and salmon fresh and wafu sauce delicious.

Cod Roe Wafu Spaghetti ($12.80)

Unison orders for Dad & Sis, who both enjoyed it immensely.

Salmon Cheese ($8.80)

All that failed to impress was this appetiser we shared. The salmon patties tasted alright despite a cheese centre with pathetic oozing, but our main grouse was how it came soaking in a puddle of oil. Deep frying was poorly done and not worth the price paid.

That aside, everything else went fine until... i noticed a tiny black dot beneath both the 4th and 5th lettuce leaves of my pasta. A mosquito and an ant. And i actually walloped the first 3 insect-infested greens without checking, how gross. Of course i informed the waiter about it.

Next came the senior manager, an indian lady who humbly apologised 3 times throughout the meal and generously offered desserts on the house.

Complimentary Dessert

A small portion of their standard softserve served in a shotglass with choclate sauce and a cherry. always comes partially melted buti still enjoyed the milky flavour of it.

Thinking 3 of those were insufficient to make up for their negligence, they even topped it up with a $10 apology voucher and a feedback form to voice my dissatisfaction- which i ironically used to praise their service instead.

The male manager still continued to ensure my constant hot water refills and the bestest part? The entire counter bowed to thank me as i left the restaurant. I could tell they were all truly apologetic.

Service:
seriously amazing.
