Coffee Club Dinner

A good thing about dining at The Central is the bonus of a river view accompanied with relatively fine ambience. Match that with some quality food and service and voila! you get a perfect meal.

Dinner with Jessica here was enjoyable but a pity with the last factor unmet. They've got a whole crew of amateur service staffs.

Smoked Salmon Sandwich ($11.90)

How unbelivable for me to forgo my all-time-favourite honey mustard chicken for this instead. Picked Walnut Sesame as my bread choice and the set comes with a regular tea. Both were good, crusty toasted bun encasing dill & mustard marinated gravlax.

I even requested for an extra side of yummy honey pommery mustard which went so well with everything! A truly versatile sauce indeed~

Garlic Prawn Pasta ($12.90)

Heavily flavours of garlic fittingly suited to Jessica's palate. Spaghetti, tomatoes, lusciously crunchy crystal prawns... all she left uncleared was a bunch of onions.

Muddy Mudpie ($7)

How can she miss Coffee Club's classic signature? Huge layers of cappuccino and chocolate icecream on an (extremely hard) oreo crust, topped with fudge and more oreo crumbs. Sure a hit with the chocolate lovers.

Blueberry Cheesecake ($6)

Cheesecake-of-the-month for me! As a commercialised cheesecake it was considered on the steeper edge, like merely 90 cents more to one from The Cheesecake Cafe. For the price it wasn't totally on the fantastic scale but glad to say not a letdown too.

The server who attended to us was yes polite, but failed to show initiativeness or attentiveness in any way. That was perhaps the main downside of the meal.
