The parents and i headed here solely on the intention to use our $20 dining voucher. Never did we expect to clash with OCC's annual Penang fair which caused us a longer wait than usual, far more limited choices and a pricey attempt at the Penang ala carte items.
Penang Rojak ($6)
The Malaysians have changed this dish into a healthier choice. The hey-gor sauce is not sickeningly sweet and the additions of guava, green mango, starfruit chunks were a joy to eat.
Bittergourd Seafood Horfun ($8)
Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee ($9)
This brings back fond memories of the one i had at Gurney Drive (Penang) when i was young. Over there we could get hey mee, rojak, cuttlefish kangkong, penang laksa, everything at just 3 Ringgit each... but check out how the prices rocketed over here!
Spicy, perhaps too intense on my throat but i still found it delectable to finish. For the exorbitant price they were not stingy with prawns because there was at least 15 in there with plentiful of pork slices.
Penang Char Kway Teow ($9)
I also wanted a ban chang kueh but their screwed up system failed to serve it. Of course i was unhappy.
