Dad was determined on the set lunches here, matching the various segments to get a taste of everything. Service was a noticeably huge problem- the servers were slow, inexperienced and expressionless.
We both had savoury crepes under the Set B feature of a sandwich/crepe, cake and drink at $22.
Smoked Salmon, red onions, capers and dill cream cheese
Interesting to see the salad spread atop the crepe. This flatcake grasped a huge disparity from (nearby) Out of the Pan- an open-face square with delightful crispy foldsinstead of a rollup. Mildly eggy, soggy centre topped with a reasonable amount of average smoked salmon. It somehow resembled a tissue prata.
Sauteed Mushroom, ham flambe with white wine
Dad chose to add a dollar more for these ordinary-looking ham and mushrooms. Dessertswise we were restricted to just three choices.
New York Cheesecake
Thankfully the one i loved was one of them. The cheese was so incredibly done soft and mushy to spread evenly in the mouth, sending a lingering hint of vanilla. Base today was less enjoyable but still a fine slice overall.
Oreo Cheesecake
Same good cheese packed with small additions of the classic cookie favourite. A tad wetter in texture with base too hard (dad left a whole half untouched).
Rosy Pink Tea
A ruby chai for dad came with an strong unbearable taste. He left me to finish my dessert and pay the bill while he rushed back to work. Turned out to be $53, which was not worth for the standard of service.
