The Soup Spoon

Soups and sandwiches could easily put off as a perfect pairing in western countries- perhaps for the dieters . For lunch i made a decision to tuck into hot, comforting soup together with my favourite smoked salmon in bread.

Smoked Salmon Focaccia, Broccoli and Crab Bisque ($6.90)

Available exclusive for the week is a special greenish and intoxicating soup. This creation made out of my favourite vegetable is an extreme hit-miss with the masses- you either love it or hate it. For me it went well, full-bodied and finished off to a thick creamy consistency, along with a rustic multigrain ball for dipping.

The Souper-Value deal at $3.80 was an extra choice of a half sandwich and a drink. I picked smoked salmon featuring red onions, alfafa, greens and tartare sauce in dense focaccia slices. Trust me, this is one substantial meal.

Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff ($5.90)

Satisfyingly thick and chunky, this is just perfect for mushroom lovers. Every spoonful comes bursting with fresh mushroom bits.

Roast Beef Wasabi Sandwich

While the soup scene meets its rampant downfall with diluted stocks, they arise to ensure bowls of quality sips. Good soup plus good bread is a match that will ensure my return.
