Kuriya Dessert Set

It was an unexpected find at such a high-class Japanese restaurant like this. To my surprise the high-tea set consisting of a drink and dessert of choice was only priced at $5++.

Kushiyaki

Grilled icecream so special and difficult to describe. Presentation was clearly elaborate- skewered on a bamboo stick over a tube with crushed ice as base, and some colourful fruits by the side. The surface is skilfully charred into a distinct layer revealing foam underneath. Dig further in and you get frozen vanilla icecream, how unique!

A new dimension to eating icecream is introduced with neither presentation nor quality scrimped on... this dish is certainly way deserving of its value.

Dessert Moriawase

Sarah's dessert was a variety showcase. The trio included vanilla icecream, fruits on a creamy sauce and glutinous cake seeming like some sticky pudding.

We both had soba tea, an exclusive drink made with buckwheat flour.
