One of the rare times i actually ordered a chocolate dessert of my own will; certainly not because any sudden desire struck me. 2 reasons. One, the panna cotta here is way too pricey and two, i seriously needed a break from cheesecakes- at least for a day.
To add on, i was with two other chocoholics- Shilin & Sarah.
Triple Chocolate A La Mode ($6.50)
Oh my the name of it already sounds absolutely sinful. Elaborated presentation further gave me another wow.
Brownie sliced into sticks, stacked over a pool of vanilla and chocolate sauce and topped with a giant ball of vanilla icecream. This is ultra solid stuffs...sticky, dense and boasted a deep chocolate flavour with a touch of bananas. Nothing too bad about it, just a little sore-throat incurring.
Muddy Mudpie ($7)
Coffee Club's classic famed dessert. At first sight it did look a little too massive to handle, but it was literally just a block of chocolate and cappuccino icecream showered with oreo crumbs. I noticed Shilin struggling hard to cut up that awfully hard base.
Chocolate Enchantment ($6.90)
Sarah was wooing and wowing all through her dessert. I guess there is nothing not-chocolate about this totally black dish except the creamy blob atop. Chocolate custard in chocolate tart with chocolate ganache; a real cocoa-loaded treat indeed.
Afterback effect? Fullness from a chocolate overload.
