Another take at Prego

Complimentary Bread

Merluzzo e Scampi con Peperoni e Maggiorana ($40)

I attempted a panseared cod and langoustine with potato and broccoli compote, fresh marjoram and sweet capsicum sauce. The cod was great and blanketed with a sweetish red sauce so soothing to my tastebuds. Langoustine- a cousin of the lobster was dry and too little to satisfy.

Braciola di Maiale alla Brace ($34)

For a second time Dad had the grilled pork chops, extra virgin olive oil and italian herbs but with much disappointment this time. The first was way better in his impression.

Crema Bruciata al Basilico, Composizione di Frutti di Bosco ($13)

Sweet basil creme brulee with fruit of the forest compote, raspberry & hibiscus sherbet. I got the sherbet replaced with almond milk icecream, which was an average feature of the articifial almond essence. Under that thick layer of caramelised sugar crust was an eggy cream beaming of a odd basil flavour.
